EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

All Applicants must meet all the requirements of the State of Delaware, Child Care Licensing Regulation, revised January 2007, in order to be considered for the position for which they are applying. Curriculum Coordinator must be at least 20 years of age, and meet one of the following education requirements: a Bachelor’s Degree and 15 college credits in Child Development or Early Childhood Education and 12 months experience working with children preschool age or younger in a group setting, an Associated Degree in Early Childhood Education 12 months , an Associate Degree in a related field (i.e., psychology, social work, nursing) and 15 college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 24 months experience working with children preschool age or younger in a group setting
Teachers must be at least 18 years of age, and meet one of the following education requirements: a Bachelor’s Degree and six college credits in Child Development or early Childhood Education, an Associate Degree and six college credits in Child Development or Early Childhood Education, Successful completion of a one year Early Childhood Diploma Program from a two year college, TEC1 and TEC2, a valid CDA, and have previous work experience in a child care center environment
Assistant Teachers must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma, six months work experience working with children preschool age or younger in a group setting and either of the following; TEC1, successfully completed a Early Childhood High School Career Pathway, have six college credits (three in Early Childhood Education and three in Child Development or the required number of work experience
Early Childhood Interns must be at least 16 years of age and successfully completed The Delaware First’s Introduction to Center Based   Early Care and Education, Delaware First Child Development or have three college credits in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
•Employees must have or will have First Aid and CPR Training and Certifications before their start date
